Aparangi Retirement Village

Aparangi Village is a unique lifestyle retirement village in the rural township of Te Kauwhata, North Waikato, some 80 kilometers south of Auckland and 48 kilometers north of Hamilton.
Located on a picturesque 14.5 hectare location, Aparangi provides residents with an outstanding opportunity for a healthy, active lifestyle and provides a wide range of accomodation and residential care options in a rural environment, with something to suit everyone. As a registered Charitable Trust under the auspices of the Te Kauwhata Retirement Trust Board, it has been an asset to the community since its inception in 1972.
Aparangi Village and township meet in our Community Centre, Simmons Hall, for a variety of activities including housie, patchwork and quilting, mahjong, cards 500, fellowship, celebrations – the list goes on! The Te Kauwhata Bowling Club is situated adjacent to the village, and both a Fitness Centre and swimming pool are only short distances away, as well as the renowned Waikere Golf Club.
As a resident becomes less independent it is possible for them to move into the Residential Care Unit, which is at the heart of Aparangi. It is a group of 45 rooms where you have the choice of style and comfort. Residents on the whole stay ‘in their own home’ as they may progress through the care stages of rest home level and hospital level care.
Please call us to visit our wonderful village or drop into the office and we will be happy to discuss your requirements

Grahams Franklin Funeral Services

Welcome – we have over 75 years of service in the Franklin area
At Graham’s Funeral Services we understand every funeral is different because every person is unique and each family situation different. We always strive to arrange a funeral carefully and sensitively in order to ensure that the service provides a meaningful ceremony to farewell your loved one.

Our “My Life, My Funeral” booklet is the ideal place to record your personal information and funeral choices. It will be a great help to those arranging your funeral. Prepaying your funeral can relieve your family of a potential financial burden and funds invested are exempt from asset testing for residential care subsidy calculations. This has enabled us to build strong relationships and friendships with generations of families, church groups and organisations to help support and serve people when the need arises. Graham’s have premises located in Tuakau, Pukekohe and Waiuku.

A personal 24 hour telephone service ensures you can always contact a funeral director to discuss your needs, so if a bereavement or impending death leaves you confused or bewildered, just give us a call, we are here to help you.
