Unity Hoops – Street Basketball Event

Splash’n Dash – Te Kauwhata’s Children’s Day Celebration
Held at the Domain on the first Sunday of March from 10am to 2pm, this free family event is a TK institution. Join us for slippery slides, dunk tank and foaming as well as inflatables, art station, pre school area, team games, DJ and much more. Waerenga Community Trail Ride & Horse Trek

Matariki – a community celebration
Join the community at Te Kauwhata College on Wednesday 26 June, 4pm to 8pm for performances, food, art, lights and local history. It will be an evening of manaakitanga and manawa. Street Party September is an opportunity to connect with your neighbours. SKATEfest – Te Kauwhata Skate and Scooter Event
Held at the Skatepark in the Village Green, this free family event is perfect for people of all ages who scoot or skate, and their whaanau. We have an afternoon filled with tricks, games, competitions and SKATEfest is always accompanied by great music and an art station. Te Kauwhata Community Photography Competition
Our annual competition is open to photographers of all ages and abilities – children, youth and adults. Each year we open four categories including a digital art and open category. Entry is free and can be completed online. The top 60 images are then selected for exhibition. Our Agricultural and Pastoral Show runs every year on the second Saturday of December. This heartland event is a fabulous day out including rides, games, stalls, performances, competitions, yummy food at Eat St and a whole host of animal encounters- equestrian, cows, sheep, goats and more. Te Kauwhata Christmas Parade
Te Kauwhata Christmas Parade is held on the main street on a Friday evening. Stalls, rides and entertainment start from 4pm and the parade follows at at 7pm along Parade starts at 7pm along Wira St/Waerenga Road/Aparangi Village/Main Road.
