Held at the Domain on the first Sunday of March from 10am to 2pm, this free family event is a TK institution. Waerenga Community Trail Ride & Horse Trek

Held on a Sunday mid March, this annual trail event is a highlight of the Waerenga calendar. Enjoy the picturesque Waerenga valley on trail bike or horse. Funds raised are reinvested in Waerenga community organisations. Find out more at

Matariki – a community celebration

SKATEfest – Te Kauwhata Skate and Scooter Event

Held at the Skatepark in the Village Green, this free family event is perfect for people of all ages who scoot or skate, and their whaanau. Te Kauwhata Community Photography Competition

Our annual competition is open to photographers of all ages and abilities – children, youth and adults. Each year we open four categories including a digital art and open category. Our Agricultural and Pastoral Show runs every year on the second Saturday of December.
